Recently a small group of pupils were able to perform at Snape Maltings. They were most able ambassadors for The Ashley School Academy Trust and many positive comments have been received for their performances on the night. The pupils also took part in a workshop with Gwyneth Herbert, which included the rehearsal for the finale song, which had been composed by Gwyneth. A number of parents and staff attended to provide support.

Parents and Carers Get Together meetings.
So, in case you did not know we have regular meetings for parents and carers. We have have two meetings a month. One at Ashley school and the other in Beccles, we use the Butterfly Children’s Centre, Castle Hill, Beccles, NR34 7BQ, as a venue, . The meetings are very informal and friendly. It is a good opportunity to meet other parents and carers or if you have any questions about school. We also have visiting speakers join us from time to time speaking about a range of topics, which may be of interest.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 28th March 1-2.30pm in Beccles.
There are also meetings arranged for next term are 25th April 1pm-2.30pm Beccles and 27th April 1-2.30pm at The Ashley School. Mrs Alder PSHE lead will be joining us to speak about PSHE and how we teach about sex and relationships in school. She will also be available for a general chat. (27th April 1-2.30pm).

Parents and Carers Get Together
The next Parents and Carers Get Together meeting at The Ashley School Academy Trust is on Monday 20th March 2017 from 1pm- 2.45pm
We will be having a visit from Louise Holmes our in-school transition worker. Louise will be available to talk about support and options for pupils moving from school to college. Come and find out more about how we support young people moving from school and the opportunities available.

PD Day - Change of Date
Please note that the school has changed the planned PD staff training day from Friday 26th May to Monday 5th June.
The school will therefore now be open on 26th May 2017 and CLOSED on 5th June 2017.

Marina Theatre - Half Term offers
The Marina Theatre are running various exciting activities over the February half-term including ‘Theatre Make Up’ and ‘Musical Theatre’ workshops. For various ages from 7 and up. See their website under the ‘Get Involved’ heading for more details.
Survey for parents of children with ASD
The Suffolk Parent Carer Network are currently running a survey for parents of children with an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).
The purpose of this survey is to find out what support works well for families and what services they would like to see developed.
